Your liaison will assist you in developing a program that fits your school’s needs. Lead the entertainment yourself or have our staff lead it! Dream Catchers: ($1.25 charge per student) A Native American tradition to protect you while you sleep, dream catchers help catch the bad dreams and let the good dreams reach you. Materials and directions for each student to make their own dream catcher will be available along with Native American readings about the origin of the dream catcher. Eagle Bluff Olympics: Competition occurs naturally. People of today compete for resources we need to survive. Games like tug-of-war, thumb wrestling, whistling while chewing crackers, logic tests, charades, animal taboo, tree I. D., and many more give students the opportunity to analyze the nature of competition and how it affects our lives today while having fun. Know Your Bluff Stuff: Eagle Bluff trivia, game show style! Students will be quizzed on their Eagle Bluff knowledge learned while participating in our many classes and activities. Due to the nature of the game this activity is only offered the second night of a 3-day program. Night Hike: Groups will explore the night environment through a series of multi-sensory activities. A standard route will be recommended to you, a lesson plan full of activities and a night hike kit full of equipment is provided. Owl Pellets ($3.00 charge per pellet, 1-2 students per pellet): During this class, students will dissect an owl pellet to find bones, fur, or anything else the owl has eaten. The bones will be used to identify the prey species consumed by each animal. Paper Making: This activity will illustrate the tremendous amount of time and energy need-ed to make one piece of paper. To gain an understanding of recycling and paper conservation, students will go through the process of paper making. All participants will be able to take their paper home with them. Project Teamwork: Students will work together in large and small groups completing puzzles, building trust, communicating, and sharing ideas. This is a great activity for working on team building, respect, and problem solving. Top Secret: Work together in spy-op teams to penetrate “Tectron Laboratories” and obtain valuable information. This activity is a mod-ification of “Telephone” where one student passes information about the design of an object through a chain of “agents” to a builder. Practice teamwork and communication skills while having fun. Yard Games: Students will work together while following directions to play familiar games such as bocce and badminton, and learn new ones like kubb, and ladder golf. This activity is designed to promote healthy and active recreation choices that can last a lifetime. Volleyball: Pick your best teams and hit our sandy volleyball court with fun and excitement in mind. Get your team cheer ready. Volleyballs and nets are provided.
