Eagle Bluff Standards Matrix

Each of our classes is hands-on and experiential! They are also designed to meet Minnesota State Academic Standards for grades 5-8 in Science, History and Social Studies, Language Arts, Math and Physical Education.

All Eagle Bluff instructors have earned, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in an educational or environmental field and work hard to encourage and facilitate student participation throughout class. They help students focus on positively experiencing the outdoors through personalized classes.

  • Day Classes are three hours in length and have no more than a 20:1 student/teacher ratio. Students spend much of that class time in the outdoors exploring and discovering.
  • Naturalist Programs are large-group presentations designed to inform, entertain and regroup after a day spent outside exploring.
  • Evening Activities allow groups to focus further on group team building, learning a nature craft, or exploring the night at a campfire or out on a hike.
  • Journal Pages and Pre/Post Visit Activities are provided for Eagle Bluff classes as to reflect on, prepare for, and process your Eagle Bluff experience.
