Summer may seem ages away but Eagle Bluff is getting ready for another great summer of hiking, biking, paddling, exploring and learning! We're excited to announce our camps this summer so check the list below to see all of our offerings!

RESIDENTIAL CAMPS:
Peddlers Camp
June 22-25, 2008
Cost: $250
Break out the bikes for a fun filled, self-propelled tour of the Root River Bike Trail! Campers will spend their days exploring the area and their nights will be spent onsite in our comfortable dorms. Each camper must bring his or her own helmet and bike for camp. Rentals are available in the town of Lanesboro, located approximately five miles from Eagle Bluff campus.
Grades: Entering 7, 8, and 9.
Night Camp
June 29-July 2, 2008
Cost: $250
Night Camp will give campers the chance to experience Eagle Bluff after the sun goes down. Each night campers will stay up later than the previous night and by the last night, campers will watch the sunrise before heading off to bed. Rest assured that campers will still have at least eight hours of sleep each day!
Grades: Entering 6, 7, and 8.
Forkhorn Camp - FULL
July 13-18, 2008
Cost: $365
The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association sponsors this camp for youth interested in deer hunting. Campers will learn to perfect a buck grunt, track deer, choose the right tree for their stand, and test their aim at our gun and archery ranges. (We highly encourage Forkhorn campers to have their Firearms Safety Certificate before camp. Campers that do not have the certification will be able to complete the course and take the test during camp.)
Grades: Entering 6, 7, and 8.
Water Adventure Camp
July 20-23, 2008
Cost: $250
Get your feet wet with a field trip sampler highlighting the unique Root River Valley! This area of Minnesota is known specifically for its fishing, canoeing, and caving opportunities. Let the water adventures begin!
Grades: Entering 4, 5, and 6.

Becoming an Outdoor Family
August 2-3, 2008
Cost: $60 per person for groups of 3 or less; $220 for a family of four and $55 for each additional person
The entire family is invited to participate in an exciting weekend of camp sponsored by Eagle Bluff ELC and the Minnesota DNR! Activity options will include: archery, fishing, shooting, orienteering, rock climbing, nature hikes, and high ropes courses! Children under the age of 6 are able to join the weekend fun; however, are unable to participate in classes.

EXCURSION CAMPS:
Outdoor Skills Camp
July 27-30, 2008
Cost: $250
Orienteering, cooking over a backpacking stove, knot tying, and Leave No Trace principles are just a few of the topics to be covered during this camp. Campers will spend their days learning the necessary skills for outdoor activities while hiking around the State Forest surrounding Eagle Bluff. Nights will be spent in either tents or shelters of the campers on creation. This camp will be an exciting adventure, regardless of whether this is your first outdoor experience or one hundredth!
Grades: Entering 7, 8, and 9.
