Summer may seem ages away but Eagle Bluff is getting ready for another great summer of hiking, geocaching, paddling, exploring and learning! We're excited to announce our camps this summer so check the list below to see all of our offerings!

Water Adventure

July 6-9, 2011
Cost: $275
Get your feet wet with a field trip sampler highlighting the unique Root River Valley! This area of Minnesota is known specifically for its fishing, river recreation, and caving opportunities. We will be sure to make the most of what there is to offer! Two out of the three nights will be spent in the dormitory, while the third night will be spent camping out along side the Root River.

Outdoor Adventures

July 10-13, 2011
Cost: $275
It's time for an adventure! Campers will spend their days experiencing all the fun the area has to offer. Activities will include: canoeing, geocaching, treetops high ropes course, caving, and a night sleeping in a shelter of their own creation! Campers will spend two nights in the dormitory.
Grades: Entering 7, 8, and 9

Forkhorn
July 17-22, 2011
Cost: $380
Are you interested in perfecting your ability to track a deer? How about testing your aim at our gun and archery ranges? Forkhorn campers will do these activities and more at this camp cosponsored by the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association! New this year, campers interested in receiving their Firearms Safety Certification will have to complete the online coursework* prior to camp. Time spent at the ranges during camp will fulfill the Field Day Requirements. Campers will spend four of the five nights in the dormitory and the fifth will be spent camping alongside the Root River. *The online course is a separate fee. For more details click here.

Night Owls
July 24-27, 2011
Cost: $275
A camp for the true night owl! Campers will experience life after the sun goes down through night hikes, star gazing, owl pellet dissections, and more! Each night campers will stay up later than the previous and by the last night, campers will watch the sunrise before heading off to bed. Rest assured campers will have at least 8 hours of sleep each day!
Grades: 6, 7, and 8


BECOMING AN OUTDOOR FAMILY WEEKENDS:

Becoming an Outdoor Family WINTER Weekend
February 19-20, 2011
(Early arrival on Friday night is possible for an additional fee)
Cost: $80 per person for groups of 3 or less; $300 for a family of four and $75 for each additional person

Get your family outside for some winter fun! This weekend will provide families an opportunity to play in the snow and learn lifelong outdoor activities. Class options include: snowshoeing, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, rock climbing, and treetops high ropes course! This event is cosponsored with the Minnesota DNR. Children under the age of six are able to join the weekend fun; however, they are unable to participate in the classes.

Have you been waiting for an opportunity to get your family involved in the outdoors? Join Eagle Bluff and the Minnesota DNR for our Becoming an Outdoor Family Weekend! Families are encouraged to try new activities in our family-friendly classes. Activity options include: archery, fishing, shooting, rock climbing, high ropes courses, and more! Children under the age of six are able to join in the weekend fun; however, they are unable to participate in the classes.
